How do you nourish and moisturize skin, fight off acne and make your hair and skin radiant all with one step?
Add oils. Hear us out on this one.
Oils are jam packed with notable ingredients your skin and hair love to have. These include antioxidants, vitamins, polyphenols and carotenoids.
Here we’ll share some of our favorites.
First, is kakadu plum oil.
The oil comes from a plant with a few names. Known as Billygoat Plum, Gubinge, and Murunga, it’s found in the Western regions of Australia.
The plant has fruits that are round and green. Nestled inside are the tiny seeds from which kakadu plum oil is extracted. And the properties are revered for their rare properties and amazing skin care benefits.
Next is rosehip oil.
Rosehip oil is extracted from the fruits and seeds of dog roses (Rosa canina) and wild roses.
Not to be confused with rose oil, which is pressed from rose petals.
The fruit of the rose is located underneath the petals and houses skin nourishing fatty-acids and vitamins.
Our third favorite is argan oil.
Only found in the country of Morocco, argan oil comes from the fruit kernels of the argan tree. While it is used for cooking (it has a subtle nutty flavor), it has also made its way all over the world because of the unbeatable benefits it gives to hair. It is loaded with fatty acids, vitamins and phenolic compounds that help boost the health of hair.
Ready to glow? Here’s what they do for your skin, body and hair.
Kakadu plum fruit is very special. It has the highest concentration of vitamin C than any other fruit on Earth.
Vitamin C is an anti-aging ingredient. It can help reduce wrinkles and fine lines, even out dark spots and brighten skin, giving you that radiance you're looking for. Kakadu oil also has noteworthy antifungal and anti-bacterial properties that come from phytochemicals. These can help soothe and cool inflammation, irritation, and redness.
Rosehip oil has lots of vitamin A, C, and E. Vitamin A is the champion for stimulating collagen production, which keeps your skin elastic and youthful. Vitamin C and E are essential when it comes to helping protect skin from environmental toxins and promoting healing.
Together these vitamins are a potent formula for reducing inflammation, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, and clearing up acne.
Rosehip oil also has essential fatty acids. It has omega-3 and omega 6 fatty acids that deeply moisturize skin, conditions hair and reduces the appearance of stretch marks.
Argan oil, much like rosehip oil, is a multi-tasker. Argan oil not only nourishes skin, it also helps moisturize hair. It has high levels of vitamin E to help with inflammation and skin-aging.
Vitamin E is also a UV-protector and captures those pesky free radicals that cause damage to your skin. Without those misbehaving free radicals around your skin can heal and rejuvenate itself properly.
Vitamin E can also cleanse your skin without disrupting the natural microbiome on the surface and boosts skin elasticity. This helps you retain youthful and plump skin. Argan oil also moisturizes hair, reduces breakage, frizz, appearance of split ends and improves hair elasticity.
Any good skin routine should have something that prevents skin damage and protects. These oils are a great way to get that extra layer of protection while rejuvenating and nourishing skin and hair.
